~Baking and Making~
We had a PFF Fundraiser last night, I went out on a limb and tried something new, it took alot of time and energy but turned out cute! I made chocolate sucker, hard suckers, dipped oreos on a stick, and sugar cookies on a stick, then made them into arrangements! It was fun! Thanks mom for the idea!
Also made homemade bread and plates of sugar cookies!
And cupcakes...
And these! My kids think these are the coolest. Being the nice mommy that I can be at times...:o) I kept four for my kids! I felt bad with them coming home from school everyday asking if they could have this, that or the other and my reply was always..."they are for a fundraiser, not us." Landyn was even willing to by one with his own money, you know they are desperate when they offer that, especially Landyn because he is a penny pincher!
Teen Service
Our church has started a new ministry, Teen Service! Ryan, Seth Herring and John Davolt are the 3 that are heading it up, with the support of our church board. When your husband is involved in something like that, you get thrown in the mix too! Which I am totally fine with! It makes it a little crazy for us with 4 kids and the children's church being across town and during the same times. But we will figure it out! We aren't super moms for nothing!! ;o) We had the first service on Wednesday and there were 21 teens! That was exciting and to make it more exciting, they were excited! If you could hear them sing, WOW! It brought tears to my eyes. If you think about it, pray for everyone involved, I know this is where Ryan's heart is, it wasn't that long ago that we were there ourselves. At least we like to think that it wasn't that long ago...Ryan will be 30 next month! :o) If you have any ideas or suggestions, let us know! It is new territory for us all!
~2012~Goals~
~A Few of My Goals~
A few things that are some of my goals this year is to be a little more positive instead of always seeing the negative side of things. *Please note: I haven't gotten there yet and it may take longer than you think it should!*
I want to be a little kinder to people who I feel are the least to me, even if I am having a rough day too, I have no clue what that person may be going through or has been struggling with. Sometimes in our carelessness and business of life we miss the opportunities to be the help and encouragement to others when they most need it.
I want to do better with prayer and devotions in my personal life! Even tho 4 kids can seem to be a very good excuse at times! :o)
I want to spend more time with my family. Life is short and you never know when it may be your last day. We have learned that the hard way this past year. My kids and husband are my world, my life, my everything, that is what my choices and decisions are based on, even the meals I cook! :o) The most important thing to me is that we raise our kids to love and serve God and to know him personally. I want my kids to make it to Heaven, to know that you don't have to dress or look a certain way but that it is all in your heart and God will take care of you from there.

The kids were outside playing yesterday when it started to rain a little, I looked out the door to check on them and Nichole proudly had a plant over her head to take the place of an umbrella! What else do you do when you can't find one?!?
One of the very few bonuses to being a mommy, it is the little things that brighten the day! I got a good laugh out of her imagenation! I think she gets her imagenation from her dad!
The boys were getting ready for school when they saw the sunrise, they loved it and took this picture! Courtney of course was a big fan of the pink/purple colors!
Excuse the puppy dog ears! :o)
I was in the kitchen baking when I heard the Veggie Tales cd start to play, I looked in the front room to find Courtney and Nichole standing as of they were in church and singing their little hearts out!

How about a few more babies....
I woke up to find this, and there were a few more babies hidden in there too! Think they had enough? On another note, I love watching my kids sleep, there is something about it that makes them extra cute!

~Boots~
This is our cat, Boots, he has grown alot in the first year. As you can tell, he is Nichole's buddy, and I think much to his dismay at times! :o)
