This is the reason I have not been posting pictures, canning and freezing has been the story of my life. Not something I thought I would do in my future. ;oD
Our tomato plants are huge, most of them taller than me. My plan is to try to can tomatoes the end of this week, something I have never done. :o)
We have prepared corn for the freezer, given a bunch to friends and family and still have some more to pick. Just running out of room in the freezer. One of the girls said, "corn again?" I think they are ready for something else, we have had so many beans for a couple weeks that I am giving them a break this week! :0)
I have canned jalapeno jelly, jalapenos, banana peppers and salsa. We have shucked more corn than any human wants to do and sat in a circle in the middle of the floor and snapped beans...as a happy family! LOL! My kids see a bucket beans and want to run now!
We have gotten tons of squash and zucchini...which we don't eat, just planted for others who like it.
In about a week we will have way more cantaloupe than we will know what to do with, so swing by and grab one if you are in town!! You are welcome to grab some tomatoes on your way back to your car too!
I may have to stop by on my way to Joplin in a few weeks for some cantaloupe if you still have some left. It's one of my favorites!!!
