When I Cry - Gaither Vocal band

Where do they come up with stuff....

On the first day of school as we were headed down the road my boys had this conversation~
Landyn~ I wouldn't want to be a bull, you have to marry all the girls and have a bunch of babies.
Devon~ Well, I wouldn't want to be one because they tie something around their wieners until it falls off. Landyn~ Ouch, I for sure don't want to be a bull!
Ryan told them to pay a little better attention the next time they see that done. lol!

We had devotions with the kids the other night, they each took a turn praying- Devon prayed for no homework(which can be a struggle for him). Courtney prayed that her teacher would give her homework and Nichole prayed that her mom and dad would be more fun and for her daddy stink pot. I told Ryan I didn't realize we were so lame. :o/  If that is the worst then I don't think we are doing to bad. :o)

We were headed to Tina's bridal shower yesterday and Nichole said, "so how do we know if she is having a boy or a girl?" I said its not a baby shower it is a bridal shower, she said "Oh....good!"

I haven't felt good at all the last few days and got a toothache that in turn helped out with a horrible headache to the point I was throwing up. I was laying down with a bucket and Courtney said, "mommy, I wish I could drive so I could go to Wal-mart and get some medicine and popsicles to make you feel better." I assured her I would be ok, she then offered to make supper..."what should I make peanut butter and jelly or cereal?"  I opted for cereal since it was less mess. Since daddy was at work she was taking care of me. She is such a sweet girl! She is gonna make a good mama!

~Missed~

Well, today has been a year since we lost you. And there hasn't been a single day gone by that I haven't thought about it. We had become very good friends and I miss that friendship. The walks we often took when the kids all got to bed, talking, texting, sitting on your couch folding laundry together(which we both decided was never ending), hanging out, just about every other day, and the many other things. If we weren't at your house, you guys were here. And if we missed a day, my kids were begging to go to Aunt Tyra's house or have you guys over for supper again. :o)There are so many things that remind me of you..... Beef hot dogs, certain songs, sea salt, straws, dove chocolates, laundry, red vans,7 grain bread that you tried to convince me was so good(and never was), dasani bottled water, your mixed drink of juice and sprite, your crazy taste on clothes, (that I liked to tease you about) and so many other things. We drive by your house every day, there are days I see you in your yard, getting your mail, or watching your kids in the pool, when we would honk(to my kids wishes) you smiled and waved!  And there are other days it is like a nightmare I can't get away from.  There are so many things I wish I would have said and some things I wish I wouldn't have. Just knowing that you left hurting inside, hurts me, and it is hard to get over. Even though I did my best to be there,it just doesn't feel like enough. I admired how you loved your kids and they were first on your priority list, they were your life. And you even told me that several times. It has changed my thinking and made me want to do better and not worry so much about a clean house and a nice meal but to focus more on my kids, they will be gone before I know it. I watched you trust and serve God though your tough times and it amazed me. My kids thought the world of you, and often talk about you, how much they miss you and the memories they have and other times ask some difficult questions, that we really have no answer for. I have seen Courtney several times get your picture and just hold it and look at it, sometimes even talking to you with tears in her eyes.:o) You were loved very much and I hope that if anyone has walked away with any good that they at least tell those they love how much they love them and spend time with them, cause we never know when it may be the last time.

Table Rock Lake

We got a phone call on Thursday and were invited to go to Table Rock Lake for the weekend with some friends! They even got us our own condo. Which was probably on behalf of their sanity given the fact that we have four kids! :o) We had a good time and it was nice to get away. My kids had a blast! They wanted to stay "just one more day"!

These are a couple pictures of the ride there, my kids were so excited...and hyper.
For some reason there are lines through half of my pictures that I downloaded to blogger...not sure what the deal is and it takes so long to download them that I am not gonna start over. :o)

Such a handsome man...and his head is all jacked up in the picture. lol!Can you believe I got a picture of a Goins smiling?!

I love these kids!!All 4 of them! I can't imagine life without them.

~A Trip to the Park~

 Jacob
 Halle
The ornery bunch! :o) Aren't they cute? I don't even have to tell you they are ornery, you can tell by the looks on their faces!
Nichole, my baby, next year she will be going to Kindergarten...it seems like they just take off and grow up too quick once they start school.

Morgan
I just started babysitting Halle and Morgan last week. I will be losing Jacob in the next week or two when his baby sister arrives. It is very sad, as he feels like one of mine after having him since he was one. I am already planning on getting him once in a while to spend the day with us and give his mama a little break as well.:o) On the other hand, we are very excited about the girls, I feel like the Lord worked it all out!
I didn't have Morgan today since she was sick, and my 3 oldest kids were at their first day of school so the other 3 got to take a trip to the park! I am hoping as the weather cools to do that a little more often!

First Day of school!

 Courtney~Kindergarten- Devon~4th-Landyn~3rd
Courtney was so excited about school, she can't wait to go back tomorrow! And yes, even with her gone just 4 hours I missed her.
 Landyn at his desk
 Devon checking out his desk

I snapped a picture of Bradyn too! We didn't know he was going to IBS until a friend told us a few days ago. My kids were excited to find that out! They love their cousins!
The boys classroom~ It doesn't even look the same, it is so cleaned and organized! I am excited about their new teacher!I think she will be great!

~Bittersweet~

Well, our 3rd child is starting kindergarten tomorrow, and its bittersweet. :o)
Courtney heard me tell her daddy, as I was getting her school clothes out (and having her try them on to make sure they fit) that I was sad, she told me that it would be OK, I would have Nichole, Halle, and Morgan and she will be back after school. She has been so excited about school, she even got everyones jammies out for bed time 3 hrs early. She didn't waste any time getting to bed, after 2 minutes of her going to bed, I went in to read a Bible Story and she was already asleep.(notice her camo backpack with pink! She loves it!)
I admit......tears came to my eyes as I watched her sleep and thought about the last 5 1/2 yrs, they seem to grow up so quick from this time forward.
