Baby Shower for Karter

~Adorable~

Proud Grandma!

My mother thought it was necessary to take a picture of every gift.....I didn't think so! :o) I wrote down all the gifts for my sister, which is why I am in the picture, otherwise I would have been hiding in a corner holding Karter! She got a lot of nice things! The whole time I was thinking, "I am so glad I am done having babies!" I love mine to death but I think if I had a 5th one right behind Nichole, which seemed to be how it always worked, I probably would have taken a long walk off of a short bridge!

The decorations were really cute! Stephanie's mother in law and sister in law had the shower for her! They did a very good job! The duck in the middle is for people to write on.

Visiting cousin Karter!

This was not a very photogenic day!

My helpers!

Thanks to these girls I survived the whole week with Ryan gone! Emily stayed with me all week and was a huge help with the kids. We went to camp every morning and every evening, so it also helped time go by for the kids. Emily's birthday was Thursday so Kimberly(she stayed a couple days too) and I planned a surprise Birthday/Slumber Party! Had about 10 girls come over, ordered pizza, got an ice cream cake, and played wii and pool! I finally went to bed around 3:30 a.m. and told them to turn out lights when they went to bed! I told some of them we would have another slumber party when Ryan left for the next trip!!

~Ryan~

Ryan had his first business trip / training in Phoenix, AZ for his new job at Amazon. He had to leave on Sunday(which was a very dreaded day for me) and he got back the following Saturday(a very exciting day for me)! He ended up missing most of his first day due to delays with flights which was very nerve racking giving the fact it was the first day on the job. But it all worked out after an overnight stay waiting for the next flight to Phoenix, a $13 hamburger and fry meal (no drink) and a $48 cab ride! It worked out for him to spend most evenings with Bryan and Julia Jones, that was a big help, being away from home, not having a car, etc.! And it was much appreciated! Although I worried way too much, it helped me not worry so much about all the little things!
My kids had daddy with drawls, I had a few emotional times, but we all survived! Only to find out he will be sent to Seattle in January. :o/ Not good news in my eyes. :o) But I am thankful he has a job and there are many opportunities!

IT'S A BOY!

Mama's Boy!

Courtney has been patiently awaiting Karter's arrival!! She can't wait until she can have her own. She has been telling me since she was 3 yrs old. I told her she had to wait until she was bigger, and then I dropped it...last week she said very excitedly, "mom, I am big now, I can have a baby?!" I said," well, you need to go to school, graduate from school, have a boy friend, and get married then you can think about it!"

Proud Aunt and Proud Cousin!!

I love my girls, but there is something about little boys! I am probably a little partial, unlike those who put bows on there girls that are as big as their heads and are constantly buying girl clothes of every sort with ever matching thing that might possibly go with an outfit! :o) But hey, more power to ya if you are one of those!!! My sis probably would have been the same if she would have had a girl! ;o)

I have been extremely excited about this little guy, I wasn't around much when my other nephew, Kaine (11 yrs) was born. There is a big difference when it is your sister's baby, you can be a hog, take pictures, let your kids hold him, kind of be his 2nd mama,(there is a different kind of bond) and you do not have to worry about what they think(or maybe you just don't care! lol!)!!

My favorite picture!

We decorated the Children's Church for Independence Camp! The theme is Gone Fishing With Jesus! It was a little stressful trying to come up with ideas but once we got started it went pretty quick.
My husband and kids helped me decorate! They are excited about going!
