Happy Thanksgiving!

Somehow I have managed to screw my blog up, and I have no clue how to fix it, so until I get help it is gonna look like it does! My husband left for work this morning about 5:30 ish, kinda stinks that he has to work on Thanksgiving Day, but at least he has a job, right?! I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and enjoy the day with your family!! I am getting excited about putting up my Christmas stuff but for some reason I have a feeling Courtney is gonna ask me every day if it is her Birthday, since she knows it is close to Christmas, she saw the Christmas decorations downtown and said "mommy, my birthday is almost here, look up there!!" Nichole's is the 14th and Courtney's is the 29th so we always have a b-day party in the middle, not sure how it is gonna work this year with Ryan's lovely work schedule but we will find a time!

Fall Dinner

~ Dinner ~

Chicken Alfredo

Green beans

Garlic Biscuits

~Dessert~

Chocolate Chip Delight

(made by the Home Ec Class)

Already on the tables, instead of doing salad was crackers and cheese balls, that seemed to go over good!

(This looked neat in the evening with the hall lights off, Thanks Uncle Paul for helping with that!)

(There were stars up above in the black plastic, glow in the dark stars for the tables and we did glow in the dark for the trees but ended up adding lights since someone seemed to think it was too dark, kind of ruined the idea, but.....)

(This was on the front wall, some how I managed to get it crooked)

(we had lights in the fountain, they weren't on)

I took these after school so it wasn't dark enough for some of the pictures to turn out. I was asked to help with ideas/decorating for Fall Dinner, the kids worked good and did a good job, I wasn't real sure at the beginning how it was gonna go(teenagers/attitudes)but I had to remind myself that I was there once! :o) I wasn't able to take pictures of any of the kids during or after the dinner since I was helping in the kitchen. :o/ Karla Hunter cooked and she did an awesome job!!

Seriously....?!?!?

We go from bare feet to snow in less than 24 hrs....it is definitely Kansas!

The girls were excited to see snow( they know their birthdays are getting close), Nichole was sporting a "snow" hat someone knitted for her when she was a baby!

This little stink pot was "my mommy" today, she could tell I wasn't feeling good and was patting me on the back, asking if I was ok, giving me kleenex's(my best friend this week) and telling me I really needed too take a drink of my water, then out of the blue, her face about 4 inches from my face, she poked my cheek and said sweetly, "your fat mama!" LOL! They say it like they see it!! As true of a statement as that was, I informed her that she should never tell anyone that, because it might hurt someones feelings! :o)

The boys thought they had to jump in for the picture as soon as they heard me say, "smile Nichole!"

Future Band

We had just gotten done with supper and dad got the itch to play his guitar with the radio, next thing I know, Courtney was "playing" and then Landyn, Nichole thought she would be the singer! Poor Devon was back to his homework, that seems to be a little much for a 3rd grader. It isn't unusual to spend 3 hrs on homework in the evenings. :o(

~Kids~

After jumping in the leaves...

Someone had some in their britches!

Playing on the tee pee that dad made

My little monkeys!

The kids were having "hay rides" with the wagon, they would fill it with leaves, then put what use to be a wooden step on top and go for a ride to the tee pee and dump the leaves, their goal was to make a big pile and jump in it.

Jacob

This is the little guy I keep, he is getting quite the personality! My kids absolutely love him!

One thing I hope today- That my husband gets off work at a decent time. :o)

One thing I am thinking today- My husband is the best!!

One thing I am happy about- that there is such a thing as Vicks Kleenex's! They Rock!

Odds & Ends

I am sure I have posted some of these and some are older but thought I would post some random pictures! At the rate I have been going it may be a month before I post again!

This cracks me up!

The kids were sitting and talking so I snapped a picture, turned out kind of cute!

Courtney and Jacob being silly!

Courtney likes to have me wrap her hair like I do mine, Landyn like to look like a goofball, as you can tell.

A normal thing to see around here!

Pastor Appreciation!

We had cake and punch for Pastor Appreciation one evening after church! The kids helped me make the cakes! We thought it would be fun to make a red John Deere(for a joke) since Brother Joe has his preference!! :o)

My boys both wanted to draw him a picture as well, so I thought it would help decorate the cake table if we put them on there!

Chicken treat!

Wasn't sure which one to post so thought I'd do them both! :o)

Bill, Mandy and their kids went trick or treating with us, I knew when I heard my kids laughing Bill must be dressed up in something!! Too Funny! I wondered if I made an 8x10 of this and sold it if that might be a good starter for my fundraiser! HEHE!

~Spider woman~

My girls kept saying chicken treat instead of trick or treat when they went to the doors, it was cracking me up!

~Bat Girl~

A new Baby!

Natalie & Seth had their baby on October 27th! Courtney told me, when guessing what she was gonna have, that she thought Natalie would have a lady. That was humerous to me!

Fundraiser...

I am doing this on my own and may be crazy, but I am gonna try to do a fundraiser to replace and do some upkeep on the kitchen at the IBS Dorm, once I get my kit I will post more. We will only get 30% profit with me signing up as a "consultant", but I figure it is a start. It could take me a year and it could take me 2 years, who knows. The kitchen is used for all kinds of things, the PFF functions, school functions, serving school lunch, family functions, dorm needs, etc. The money PFF makes is used to upkeep the school, not usually the dorm. It is also, what a lot of "outsiders" see when they come for those functions. A good first impression is always good! The State has asked the school to replace the counter top and they haven't had the funds to do it, as you know, sometimes the teachers are lucky to get paid.:o) The oven in the center island/work station has 8 burners and only 2-3 of them work, the other restaurant range has two burners that work right, the others have issues, and the oven part works when it wants to! I have cooked there several times to know!! :o) It would be nice just to not put a new one in the middle island and do a "new" restaurant oven with more burners.(Steve has been watching ovens and looking for quite a while for a used one) My first goal with profit from selling the Celebrating Homes is $5,000. You can look on line to see what it is. I am waiting for books and will try to get it set up where you can order on line and have it shipped to you!(shipping is a little or should I say a lot high, but it is for a good cause!) If you would rather donate, that is great too!! If you have any ideas or suggestions don't hesitate to share it!
A side note...it would be nice to replace cabinets while replacing the counter tops, if I can raise more money I would like to see that done as well, which needs to be raised at the same time to do cabinets first, but if I can't get enough then we will just do the center counter and oven.

I have an account set up on Celebrating home and will get the link posted on here once I figure out how to do it! If you order, it has to be done under "my party" or it won't benefit the fundraiser, just the company itself.
If you go to http://www.celebratinghome.com/ Enter my Party Code which is AliciaGoins221589 ..... Thank You!
