(Devon, Daisy and Hunter)
This evening has been one rough evening for our family. A neighbor stopped by the house to let us know that Daisy had been hit and was on the side of the road. Not knowing what to expect, and already in tears I made my kids stay home and lock the door then called Ryan to come home. She was still in the road when I got there so I had to drag her off the road so she wouldn't be hit again and I tried to gain my composer(didn't do too well) so I could ask a neighbor man to help me load her. He was crying too by the time we got her in the truck. :o/
We told her bye and buried her and if you don't think that is hard try having four kids that loved her crying buckets of tears, petting her dead body and asking questions. Why? Who?
I never dreamed I would cry over an animal but I have been a big baby over this one, and to hear my kids in bed still sobbing broke my heart because there isn't a thing I can do. Landyn asked me if we had pictures of her and as I was looking and came across some I thought I would post a few. She was born the end of December, 2012 and we got her as soon as a puppy could be away from their mama. She started out tiny and got big, wasn't even done growing yet. I didn't have a recent picture. but found one from this summer. (above)
Any animal we have gets carried around like a baby doll by Nichole until they get to big for her to do so. :) She loves animals.
After I did this post I remembered my neighbor sent/text me this picture from this weekend of Daisy sitting on her porch looking in her front door. She did that often! :o) So I asked her if she would send it again.
Oh no!!!! That is so hard. We lost our dog a few years ago and it's so hard on the whole family. :( So sorry!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your dog dying! I'm a bit of a tough cookie when it comes to animals, but I cried when my dog died, too.
