The best part of a hot day....ice cream cones!

It has been way too hot to do anything but eat ice cream cones and Popsicles!! So that is all we have been up to! Believe it or not we go a good 2 inches of rain last night! That was great, minus the fact that the crazy winds tore up the garden. :o(

In other news....Ryan gave his notice at Cessna today!! He is starting at Amazon in a couple of weeks, he will be a(4th level) manager, but that is all I know. :o/ His first week he will be in AZ for training, which I am already dreading. And then he trains for the rest of a good month. He wont know what shift or days he will have until after that. It was a much better feeling turning in a notice at Cessna than them giving him a furlough or layoff notice. He has been there 7 years, so several were surprised! The good thing with Amazon is they have a future, they plan on being at the level where wal-mart is in 1 1/2 yrs! There is a lot of potential for moving up and being promoted as well! So we don't have to stress and be sick about furloughs and layoffs! Its already relieving! It has been a rough 2 years since it all started and we have prayed (and cried) our hearts out, the Lord is answering prayer and it is always exciting to tell the kids when he does!
Speaking of the kids....they sang with us at church for the first time!(minus Nichole who was being hard headed, she just stood there and she always sings it louder than the rest of them. I told someone that there are 2 things that are the problem...she has some of her mama in her and she has Goins' blood, I am surprised she isn't worse!!!!) We hope they will do it more often! When we are in the car they sing so loud you can hardly hear the cd that is playing..... I Can Trust Jesus came on, on the way to church last Sunday and hearing them sing it made me cry, I hope as they grow up and see God move that they know that no matter what we go through, they can trust Jesus! I am sure we sounded dorky, but I don't care, I just want them to love and sing for Him...not them! :o)
